Salt Lake Chapel

Located 2 kilometers to the northeast of Noratus, on a hill with a view of the sea, is the "Salt Lake" chapel.

In this area, there was a small lake filled with salty water, which is why the chapel is named the "Salt Lake" chapel. From the Noratus burial grounds, bronze belts, arrows, bracelets, earrings, iron daggers, pottery, and other artifacts have been discovered.

The sacred site is surrounded by a cemetery, where there are over a hundred complete and partially preserved cross-stones, table-like tombstones, and flat slabs, dating from the 7th to 17th centuries. These objects serve as evidence of the area's ancient religious significance.
